The Ideal Port Elizabeth Country Wedding Venue

The Old Cash Store, a Port Elizabeth country wedding venue, has recently refurbished the beautiful courtyard. With a retractable roof and open fireplaces, this area seats up to 130 people. The ambience is relaxed and the decor has a mellow African influence that lends itself to candle light and romance in the evening while by day one is aware of trees and fields and sunlight, yet secure from changeable weather. Hosts Mandy and Mark use this country comfort style to great effect and the venue has proved very popular for weddings and other events. For functions over 50 people a buffet meal, similar to the traditional Sunday buffet for which the establishment is famous, is served. Please refer to the buffet menu section on this website to see an example of the buffet spread. By special request, a wedding or special function buffet will be created to your particular tastes and priced accordingly. Sit down dinners offering a limited set menu can also be arranged.

The Old Cash Store gardens have a park like setting with many indigenous trees and plants. The adjacent paddocks are teaming with natural bird life and encapsulate the ambience of country living and open spaces. The gardens are a great surrounding for wedding photographs as is the magnificent Sardinia Beach which lies 2km from the venue. The Beer Garden and Pub create good opportunities to mix and mingle at corporate functions.

For more intimate parties our indoor restaurant seats up to 60 or 44 with a DJ and dance floor, can be used at a cost of R500 with the option of a Buffet or Snacks. The Buffet is for a minimum of 30 guests.
